Hi everyone! Last week was our last normal week for the 8th graders. Tomorrow the 8th graders will meet with Jamie from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. They will revisit some retreat items. Then on Thursday, they will take the 8th grade graduation pictures. In the afternoon, it will be time to decorate the hall for the dance. The dance starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday they will take an algebra final in the morning and then the volleyball game at 1:30 p.m. Wow! What a week! 7th and 6th grades will have a normal schedule.

Thursday 5/10/12
Hi! Shakespeare is over and the students did a great job! Now back to school. 8th grade is preparing for May Crowning. 7th grade started Theology of the Body and 6th is reading about the prophets. English is full of verbals for the 7th and 8th graders. 6th is finishing chapter 8 which deals with verbs. 5th is finishing a very long chapter dealing with sentence structure. So much still to do!

Students will come to school in uniform
9:00 a.m.- change into costume. (girls may have some make up on but they should come to
school with it on)
We will walk to the hall: bring your snack and some water,
and a book to read
In the hall, sit and wait for directions
Once placed, stay there until further instructions
NO TALKING PLEASE: BACKSTAGE OR IN THE PATIO AREA
Remember that props are not toys and should be placed at the
prop table when not in use
When waiting in the patio area, please do not go into the
Wall of Remembrance area
After lunch, we will change into costume and walk to the
hall. Get to places and wait
quietly for the start of the show.
In the evening, arrive between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. Check in
with your teacher and wait in the patio area. Please come in costume and any make up.
The show is about 35 to 40 minutes.

The students are doing very well with their lines. I am very proud of them. They are working hard and I hope they are having fun. I look forward to the show next week!

A Week before Shakespeare
This week will be very busy with Shakespeare rehearsals. Everything Shakespeare! We also have all school mass on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. Friday we have the Art Show. 8th grade will be mounting their art projects. Parents, don't forget to come by the Art Show on Friday night. Have a great week!

Last Day with scripts
We have blocked all scenes and now the students need to memorize lines and start working with props. Monday will be interesting with no scripts. Tomorrow is beach clean up day. Students should wear P.E. uniforms. The 8th graders will be working on an art project. Next week is the Art show! Have a nice evening.

All the World's a Stage 4/18/12
We are almost done blocking Julius Caesar. We still have some scenes in Romeo and Juliet. The students are doing very well. Next week we will work without scripts.
